Story

Ken had no interest in the frontier. Then his partner Troy was killed.
Someone broke into their lab, stole their invention, and left Troy as a pile of jelly on the floor. It’s been 25 years since Ken was king of the street fighter circuit, but that’s nothing some good bionics can’t fix.

Fortunately, the killer’s path is pretty easy to trace. Every frontier world the killer visited became quickly infested by Troy and Ken’s remarkable cyboplasm. In small doses, it can give people the extra strength they need to remain alive. In large doses, it comes alive and takes over the body and mind of its host, turning them into violent, mindless supermen or, in some cases, superaliens.

Only the skills of a street fighter can pass this gauntlet and destroy the evil fiend responsible. And Ken will avenge his friend’s death if it is the last thing he does.

2010 Street Fighter is an action game for the Family Computer released by Capcom in Japan on August 8, 1990. It is a side-scrolling plane action.

It is a sci-fi style action game set in the future of 2010, in which cyborg cop Kevin Straker battles the parasites, a group of violent criminals who infest the planet.

The game was released on February 26, 2014 for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console and on October 15, 2014 for the Wii U Virtual Console.

Although subtitled “Street Fighter,” the game is unrelated to Capcom’s popular “Street Fighter” action game series. However, the U.S. version is related to the series.

When you lose a life, you power down and are returned to the beginning of the stage. Unlimited continues are possible, but the power down makes it more difficult to conquer the stage.



Controls are limited to the cross button and two buttons (attack and jump).

There are two types of attacks: a punch with a short gap that produces a wave, a wave with high power and a large gap by holding the side, and sonic bridges, and the attack direction is basically left, right, and up.

By taking items, the character can be enhanced by extending the range of the wave, getting attack judgments during backflips, and adding back options for attack judgments and bullet-eliminating effects.

Also, by pressing the jump button while in contact with a wall in mid-air, the character can climb up the wall. Attacks are possible while climbing.

While jumping vertically, you can do a backflip by pressing the opposite direction. While backflipping, you are invincible, so you can use it for evasion, and you can also attack downward.

The target is displayed at the beginning of the stage. When the target is defeated, a gate to go to the next stage will appear, and if you do not enter the gate within 10 seconds, you will miss the stage.

This makes it difficult to collect items from the stage after defeating the boss. Items should be collected as much as possible during the engagement with the boss or before the encounter.

Beginners will slowly take damage in the first stage and will be destroyed before reaching the boss, but if they do not give up and keep at it, they will improve.

Although the game lacks exhilaration, the process of defeating enemies and escaping is enjoyable in a puzzle-like way. The game was positively evaluated in a game magazine at the time, saying, “The satisfaction you feel when you clear the game is very satisfying.

Even today, the game is still strongly supported by some fans and can be played on the Virtual Console.

The sophisticated system and excellent storyline, despite the 8-bit consoles of the time, can be enjoyed even today. It is worth playing if you have the chance.
